Members of the Jamaica Association of Montreal in collaboration with Vince and Gouch as well as supporters and friends gathered at Angrignon Park on Saturday September 12, for a Family Appreciation Day.
In keeping with the protocols of the coronavirus, social distancing and masks were in full effect.
The event , which got underway at 1PM, drew a steady flow of Montrealers seeking a little outdoor summer sun and fun, much of which has been compromised by the virus, this year.
Association president Mark Henry was on hand to greet all-comers; Lady Reeta of the social committee was on hand to help ensure that people were fed properly and Conroy Barnes, board member and well-appreciated chef kept a steady supply of jerk chicken, hot dogs and escovitch fish available throughout the day.
Well known clothing designer Carlton of Carlton Fashions was spotted in the crowd.
Of course DJ Vince was on big behind the sound system providing non-stop reggae and soca along-side King Farrie and DJ Nicholas.
