Salvation is free and it sets you free

Easter has passed but why should we stop talking about the blood of Jesus? On the cross Jesus said it is finished but that does not mean that he is finished. He resurrected, continued living and to give us an opportunity to live eternally with Him through salvation. What exactly is salvation? The dictionary defines it as the state of being saved or protected from harm, risk, etc. If Jesus died on the cross thousands of years ago; what are we today being saved from? Time has advanced and times have changed but the sinful nature within us comes from …

The precious blood of Christ

Dear readers, it’s time to listen closely and get greater revelation about the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus shed on mount Calvary centuries ago is no ordinary blood. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 12:24 that it speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. This passage says “You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.” It signifies the lamb’s blood being shed and sprinkled as a sin offering. …

Rejoicing and trusting in the face of failure

Dear readers, have you ever had a moment when things just do not work out as you planned? I think we’ve all been there at one time or another. We prepare and plan, all the while praying, yet things don’t workout as expected. Sometimes we had a vacation planned and the dates were set, your leave from work confirmed, you purchased your tickets and took care of all the logistics and then for one reason or another … you don’t end up going on the trip. Sometimes you get refunded or credited but many times in these cases we begin …

Do you have a prophetic voice?

Dear readers, it is time to get a prophetic voice. The prophetic voice is twofold. On the one hand you need a voice to speak God’s prophetic truth in your life. Every king in ancient Israel and Judah had a prophet to speak to them prophetically as the oracle of God. This prophet was also there to guide, to advise, and to realign the king to the will of God. The prophet was a voice to the king and also to the nation. It was the prophet Samuel who gave the battle instruction to king Saul to which his response …

Having the right connection: The secret of success

Many young people today and even some more mature adults are looking at success the wrong way. It’s time for men and women to know a few things about life, success and how to become successful in life. I want to assure you that life will single you out, so be ready; this is REALITY. Life is about personal choices and whatever choices you make in life, you will have to live with them. …

Reflections of love

When people get to the month of February there are often thoughts of black heroes and thoughts of red roses. Some will focus their minds and energy toward honouring Black heroes, innovators, activists and influential historical figures. While another set of people are focused on honouring their significant other, their spouse or their crush with demonstrations of their love and friendship for them. Aren’t these all matters of the heart? From hearts of courage and determination who founded the Underground Railroad, invented the iron and spoke words that let freedom ring; to hearts of candy, paper hearts and chocolate hearts …

An Altar For Your Sacrifices

Everywhere throughout scripture we see that God established for His people to give him a sacrifice. Your sacrifice was dependent on the situation that brought you before God. There were specific prescriptions and protocols for each situation. Whether you are coming before the Lord regarding a sin or to give thanks, there was a specific offering assigned to each situation. For the birth of a first born, for guilt or for thanksgiving; each has their own predetermined sacrifice and it’s procedure. Some sacrifices require an animal from a select list of creatures whereas some sacrifices were grain and others oils …

Ignore Foolishness

No one likes to be called a fool even though we’ve all done some foolish things from time to time. There are many things we don’t like in this life. I can make a list long enough to run from Canada to China of the things we do not like but there are not enough words available in this article. Besides I e got other things to say that are much more worth your time. One thing I will mention is insults. We don’t like to be insulted. None of us do. Think about it, how do you feel when …
