Intercultural Choir back in a great performance

By Margot Blackman On October 26, The Montreal Intercultural Choir gave a concert at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Cote-des-Neiges. It was a benefit concert, a “thank you” to the rector and church members for the privilege of rehearsing on the premises. The lively and enthusiastic choir captivated the audience with their magnificent performance, which they sang a cappella with the occasional drum. The exception was the final item, the Hallelujah Chorus, when the choir was accompanied on the organ by Christopher Grocholski. Union United Gala

It was a sparkling evening at Buffet Il Gabbiano when the congregation and friends of Union United Church gathered for the “Our Faith Carries Us Home” Gala on Saturday, November 8. “Testimonies of Belonging” were offered by a cross-section of the congregation in a Voices of the Generation segment. And guests heard from Judge Juanita Westmoreland, Gail Grant, Wanda West, Shawn Braithwaite and Jared Joseph. Several of Montreal’s top performers were there, including Skipper Dean, Lorraine Klaasen and Davidson and Lewis Group (Wendy, Cynthia, Issa and Carol). Maya Johnson and Jonathan Emile served as very capable hosts of the evening.
