Taking It All For Granted

Do you appreciate your good health and all of the beauty around you?

The things that you take for granted, someone else is praying for.
Sometimes we forget that we should be thankful for our everyday blessings; our minds are so clouded with thoughts of what we don’t have that we forget to be grateful for what we have right in front of us.
We assume that what we have will ALWAYS be there, so we begin to take it all for granted.
We take so many things in life for granted and develop an attitude of ingratitude.
We forget that there are people who don’t even have some of the basic necessities of life. They don’t have access to clean water, electricity, or food to eat, they don’t have a safe place to sleep, someone to love them, or they don’t experience good health.
Don’t ever underestimate the value of what you have.
I’ve said it before, gratitude is not just expressed at certain times of the year; it is an everyday practice.
When you’re grateful you are less likely to take things for granted.
Remember the saying, the grass always looks greener on the other side, but in reality the grass is greener where you water it, care for it, and nurture it.
Do you appreciate the people and the relationships in your life? Do you appreciate the possessions that you have and the freedom that you possess? Do you appreciate your good health and all of the beauty around you? Are you taking what you have for granted?
When you begin to appreciate what you have your outlook will change, your relationships will change and your life will change.
Sadly, oftentimes we don’t realize what we have until we no longer have it.
Appreciate and value what you have right now. Appreciate what you have before it turns into what you had.
I’m reminded of a line from an old song: “You don’t know what you got till it’s gone.”
You can change your attitude and you can change your behavior.
Don’t take anything for granted. Show your appreciation.
And remember: There’s ALWAYS something and someone to be thankful for.
Blessings…
