Are you waiting for the perfect time to be happy?
Don’t wait for everything to be perfect to start enjoying your life.
Sometimes we choose to postpone our happiness until certain things happen in our lives. We’re not present in the now because we’re focusing on the belief that we will be happy when… (You fill in the blank.)
The problem with this strategy is that you miss out on so many blessings along the way.
Maya Angelou once said, “Be present in all things and thankful for all things.”
It’s important to enjoy all of the blessings surrounding you in the moment.
Remember…
There’s someone out there praying for what you might be taking for granted.
Every day may not be perfect, but you can find some good in every day.
It’s true that there are countless situations in our lives that we don’t have any control over, but there are also many situations that we absolutely do have total control over.
You have to be intentional but you can control your thoughts, your responses to circumstances, your choices and your attitudes.
Today is a gift because tomorrow is not promised… So, don’t wait until tomorrow to be happy.
Lord, Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.
[Psalm 90:12]
You need to learn how to live in the moment and appreciate the now. You need to find some joy in the present and not wait until you think that everything is perfect in your life to feel happy!
There can be laughter in the chaos. There can be joy while you wait.
Happiness is NOT determined by what’s happening around you or based solely on your circumstances, but rather what’s happening INSIDE of you.
So, stop waiting! There is no better time than the present to be happy. Don’t put your happiness on hold.
Happiness starts within. Decide that you’re going to be happy no matter what.
There is no time like the present to decide to live a happier life.
How?
• Let go of any unnecessary distractions
• Let go of any unrealistic
expectations
• Be honest with yourself
• Be a giver
• Be loving
• Be kind
• Be compassionate
• Be grateful
And make the decision to be a happier version of you.
Peace and blessings, Bev:)
