This generation needs to come back to the fear of the Lord. Because of technology this generation thinks they are wiser than their parent. This generation, primarily teenagers, refuse to believe in God, their Creator and source of their life.
Many have become hard-hearted and refuse to even think that there is a God.
Many of today’s youth have given their first love to technology, some putting their trust in iPods, smart phones and all sorts of expensive gadgets and fantasies instead of trusting in the Redeemer of mankind.
These gadgets that we have accumulated have given many the false idea that we are smarter, wiser and more sophisticated than our parents, and even God himself. Some younger folks even look down on their parents and grandparents who are praying for them day and night, thinking that they are old fashioned and that church is a meaningless place only for old folks.
As a woman of God, a pastor and teacher, it hurts my heart to see our young generation seduced by the false glamour of popular culture.
Little do they know that as they get older their power will turn off, batteries and phone lines will die. And as time progresses, they’ll soon be the ones having headaches and pain from being plugged into their gadgets all the time. Soon enough, their gadgets will turn into junk; some will be outdated and replaced by other gadgets, even greater and probably beyond their own level of expertise. Little do they know their eyesight will become dim, their ears will barely hear when people call their names, etc.
Aging is a must; don’t ever get the idea that you are going to be young and strong forever.
To the macho strong men that keep 45 young glamour girls as sweethearts all at the same time, be advised that the thing between your legs will become an old member just doing maintenance work and even to initiate it will become a problem.
I truly believe the word of the Lord in Ecclesiastes 12:1 to remember your Creator in the days of your youth and I believe that in doing so, God will truly bless us.
You will never become a generation that makes an impact if you are not realistic and ready to deal with life issues.
Everyday you are getting older and older and only what you do for God will last.
Please take time to read Ecclesiastes 11:9 “You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.”
