On Sunday, December 20, the Caribbean Paradise Lounge palpitated with excitement as hundreds of children and adults gathered for a grand Christmas Party.
While Santa kept the kids occupied with an endless supply of presents, organizers and volunteers made sure that everyone present was well fed. By the end of the day, hundreds of gifts were handed out and at least 350 meals were served.
Several of Montreal’s top musicians were on hand to keep the crowd entertained, including performances by co-organizers Alfred Joseph and Hilary Wayne Wilson who were joined on stage by other pannists.
Caribbean Paradise’s proprietors Babita and her husband Dharamaj (Dan) Parsram, were joined by family members and an army of volunteers to ensure that everything went smoothly.
Babita says the event was an unbridled success because so many people in the community decided to get involved, and she sends out a big “thank you” to each and every one.
