Happy Mother’s Day… all year round

Who can find a virtuous woman in this day and age?

Hoping you’ve all had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.
I am of the opinion that Mother’s Day should not be limited to the one day of the year based on our Calendar; but something we highlight on a regular basis.
At this time of the year, I want to salute virtuous women; the women whose price is far above rubies. The virtuous woman is your mother, the virtuous woman has the ability to birth both male and female.
She may not fit your qualifications now, but when you were at your most vulnerable, defenceless. She (your mother) carried you in her womb for nine months. Due to situations beyond her control she may, now, be an embarrassment to you, but please still honour her even if only for the fact that she carried you and gave birth to you.
Yes, that is reason enough to show respect and honour.
Have you not seen or heard of the astronomical abortion rates and statistics these days? This year’s data collected from the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) annual statistics explains that 94,030 abortions took place in Canada in 2017. Though this is a decline of around 4700 since 2007, it is still a sad loss of precious souls. So, honour your mother because she had a choice and she chose your life regardless of the price.
I also want to offer a special salute to the caring grandmothers, always willing to stand in the gap and extend themselves beyond their children to the next generation.
There are also some adopted mothers who need our appreciation as well. Thank you for taking, as your own, the precious lives in need of a parent. Jesus is your rewarder for He said when you do good to the least of these, you do it as on to him (Matthew 25:34-40).
I encourage you readers to please give honour to whom honour is due.
In fact, some of you need to honour your stepmother for her kindness towards you.
Most of all, we want to thank the spiritual mothers and the mentors who took time to train us up spiritually. Due to that training some of your own sons and daughters are doing great things in the kingdom of God.
I hope you take some time to read Proverbs 31 to learn more about the virtuous woman: She was a wife, a mother and a woman of valour in all forms of excellence. She handles, with wisdom, every grey area of her home. Finally, she eats the fruit of her labour by building a home full of love and happiness.
There is a shortage of virtuous women on the market today; this type of woman knows how to fulfil the basic needs of the man in her life. She opens her mouth with wisdom and in her tongue is the law of kindness. Many relationships have been terminated due to the tongue.
Your tongue can build your home, your life, your marriage, your family, or it can destroy them.
Women need to know that their tongue is prophetic, meaning a woman should speak those things they want to see come to pass. A woman also needs to understand when to speak and when to be silent.
My dear fellow women, there are some things that are better left unsaid. I encourage women to remember to open their mouths in wisdom because being too vocal will not change people, neither your man nor another person for that matter. Please learn to choose your words and bite your tongue when necessary; these are strategic moves that work to your advantage.
Virtuous women must be very sensitive about sharing their feelings and thoughts. Please note that you can’t constantly be talking everything that comes to your mind. There are some thoughts that just have to be suppressed.
Do not gossip, discipline your conversations. Not all the details of a matter need be exposed; learn to filter your thoughts and your speech so that what you express is profitable and honest, even when giving correction. Learn to do so with grace.
I’m telling you the truth; you can verify it in Proverbs 27 verse 5 “open rebuke is better than secret love.”
Women, learn to pray about everything, I do mean everything. In doing so, you will see order come to the family home, to your marriage and your relationships. Kindness is one of the greatest qualities of a virtuous woman. Let the law of kindness fill your life.
So as we continue to acknowledge and celebrate the virtuosity of women and the honour of motherhood, allow me to say Happy Mother’s Day to all females. Whether you’ve birthed children or not, you are a woman whose price is beyond rubies and diamonds.
How precious you are.
As jewels and precious metals need to be treated and polished to cherish and preserve their worth, let us also treat each other with respect, support and appreciate one another as woman because of our worth.
If you need spiritual guidance and mentorship to apply these Godly principles as written in proverbs 31, or if you are looking for strategies to become an influential woman of virtue and to mentor others… we welcome you to join us at House of prayer for all Nations for any of our services, either Sunday at 12 PM noon, or Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM for Bible Study.
