Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

May His Peace be with you as you celebrate this Christmas and holiday season.
Remember what Christmas is all about…
Celebrating the birth of our Savior and all He has done for you and being grateful for the many blessings you may sometimes take for granted.
Many of you will be getting together with family and friends for a time of celebration, and for some, that’s great, but for others, it will be a real challenge.
Sometimes, we have unrealistic expectations about the holidays, especially around this time.
Sometimes, it works out the way you envisioned; other times, it does not.
But keep in mind…
You may not be able to change your circumstances, but you certainly can change how you respond to the circumstances.
The way you cope with the situations of life is what makes the difference.
A few things to keep in mind during the holidays are:
Don’t sweat the small stuff
Practice gratitude
You don’t have to break the bank to buy gifts
Keep your expectations realistic
Choose forgiveness over anger
Establish healthy boundaries
EVERYTHING does not have to be perfect
Accept your family and friends as they are, not as you want them to be; I know that’s a tough one!
Do everything in love.
Remember to enjoy yourself, whether you’re celebrating with family and friends or spending time alone in quiet reflection, or if you’re working, decide that you will have a peaceful time no matter your plans.
It is what it is.
Don’t just focus on how stressed you’re feeling or what you don’t have; reflect on how blessed you are and all the good surrounding you.
‘Tis the season to be jolly or at least peaceful and grateful!
So I pray…
May God grant you the serenity to accept the things you cannot change, the courage to change the things you can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Remember the reason for the season!
And
Receive His grace during this time and rest in His presence.

“Give THANKS to the LORD, for He is good; His LOVE endures forever.”
Psalm 107:1

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Blessings,

Bev
