Playboys Steelband Concert Postponed
The much anticipated Holiday show featuring the Playboys Steel Orchestra in concert was taken place on November 6, has been postponed to a later date.
Organizers say that they’re experiencing some hurdles in the preparation of the show and forced to move it to a new date. Call 438 937 1924 for more information if you already bought tickets.
Dance Hall legends in the city Nov. 4
Names like Lady G, Tiger, and Johnny P, are synonymous with Dancehall and Reggae music stars of the 80s and 90s. They have given the world mega hits such as Nuff Respect, Cool Me Down and Trust in God, among other hits.
But thanks to lovers of reggae and dancehall music, these legends are still busy on the performing circuit thrilling audiences around the world with their various mega hits. And Montrealers are in line to experience these three mega stars when they stop in the city and share the stage here for the first time, on Friday November 4. It all goes down at Le Belmont, 4483 St. Laurent (corner of Mont Royal), in downtown Montreal.
The show is dubbed Legends of Dance Hall, and it promises to be a once in a lifetime event because of the lineup of young supporting up and coming stars who will also be on the bill: such as Tiger Cub and Markie Melody from Jamaica, along with Montreal’s Alicia “Miss Diva” Anderson and Moto Mokonzie.
They will be backed by the Indie Rootz Band, one of Montreal’s top reggae bands in a show that will also feature a strong line-up of the city’s top deejays: DJ Poncho, Nu-Impact Sound and Johnny Black (CKUT).
This show is a production of Indie Rootz Records, and executive producer Brian Kotler is promising an event for all music lovers. “These legendary performers represent a time when it was all about the music,” he says.

MCSO 39th Anniversary Banquet
