“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
[Proverbs 23:7]
Many times we think that life is just happening to us and we think that we have no control over our lives.
It’s true that there are many situations in our lives that we don’t have any control over; but there are also many things that we absolutely do have total control over.
Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right.
[Henry Ford]
Basically, if you think change is possible, you can change, if you don’t believe change is possible, you probably will not change.
We have to be aware of our current way of thinking before we can determine if change is necessary, so that will take some self-examination.
Remember …
You can control your own thoughts and your responses to the situations and circumstances around you.
You have the power to control your actions and your reactions.
Let’s make the decision this week to focus on those things we can change in our lives, the things that we can control and not dwell on the things that we can’t control.
Many people believe that finding peace, joy and contentment come from external circumstances.
But…
Happiness is NOT determined by what’s happening around you, or based solely on your circumstances; but rather what’s happening INSIDE of you.
Remember joy comes from within.
Happiness is an inside job.
You can’t change what’s going on around you until you start changing what’s going on within you.
[Zig Ziglar]
Take a minute to think about those things that you have the power to change and then make a decision to change those things.
“You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.”
[Marianne Williamson]
