As it has been for the past several years the Caribbean Night Extravaganza hosted by the Cote des Neiges Child Care Centre on Saturday, May 23, was a grand celebration of song, music, dance and camaraderie flavored by a tasty meal.
It was a full house at Schofield Hall in Town of Mount Royal as individuals and community organizations came out in support of Mr. Osborne Allen and his staff on the Child Care Centre’s 42nd anniversary.
The evening pulsated with one spectacular performance after the next. Undoubtedly, the stars of the event were the 5, 6, 7 and eight-year-old drummers and dancers of the Junior West Can Folk Performing Company, who provoked multiple standing ovations with their performances.
Other performers included the adult drummers and dancers of West Can, Mirielle Philosca, CC Walker, Cleopatra Marshall, Susan Chato, Rema The Hairdresser, Dyke Mills, Pete Douglas and the very entertaining CPE Stars (staff and friends of the centre) … all well-presented by MC Pat Dillon-Moore.
Then Mr. added an exclamation mark to the evening , thanking guests and inviting all to come back next year with a friend.
