BTW’s Artistic Director Quincy Armorer on why you should see The Adventures of a Black Girl in Search of God
“This is a Black story specifically, but a human story about Black people as opposed to a story about Black race. It is told in the African storytelling tradition, featuring an incredible soaring soundscape and evocative dance. The play connects us to our ancestors and is an opportunity, as Black people, to see ourselves represented on stage.
The Adventures of a Black Girl in Search of God also has a diverse and talented cast including several people from the original production. Another reason you won’t want to miss it? Jackie Richardson will be singing “What a Friend we have in Jesus!”

Hi There,
I believe I wrote to you before. I was just wondering if you’ve received my mail about Miss Trish? If not she is a hard working female in the black community. Parents of Trinidadian decent. She is currently running 2 different radio stations on the internet, and is an aspiring film maker. I was wondering what is holding you all back from giving this young woman some exposure. Please advise.
Thank You,
Aneeka
