Organizers of the West Island Blues Fest recently launched the 2022
edition of the popular outdoor festival of music, family fun and food.
After cancellation in 2020 and a scaled down event last year, they are raring to go with three exciting come-back shows to satisfy the cravings of every music lover in the city.
The festival kicks off with the Annual VIP Fundraising Night
On May 26, with Cocktails and Dinner at the
Pierrefonds-Roxboro Cultural Centre. It will feature performances by JUNO Award winner Dawn Tyler Watson
Then on July 9, comes the big outdoor show that will be headlined by Montreal soul- gospel singer Sylvie Desgroseilliers.
And a closing show is carded for September 10, in Pointe Claire Village.
This year the organizing committee include, Errol Johnson, Dimitrios (Jim) Beis, Michael Doig, Michael Stanley, Fay Johnson, Silvia Latour, Phillipe Voisard and Sharkie Tarakjian
Members who were present at the festival launch were joined by Three big events for Blues Fest 22
of Pointe Claire and Mayor Alex Bottausci of Dollard Des Ormeaux as well as representatives of TD Canada, sponsors of this year’s festival.
Also present were representative of the several west island charities that will benefit from funds raised.
