Many young people today and even some more mature adults are looking at success the wrong way. It’s time for men and women to know a few things about life, success and how to become successful in life. Many are measuring their success based on money or popularity on social media; based on “likes” and “tweets”.
Many are afraid to deal with life issues. I want to assure you that life will single you out, so be ready; this is REALITY. Life is about personal choices and whatever choices you make in life, you will have to live with them.
The Bible is a book of information, transformation, inspiration and revelation. It’s the secret of success. I am talking about outstanding success.
Many people today are living according to someone else’s opinion and that’s why they are left stranded. What someone thinks about your car, your weight, your clothes and even your family. Many today are so concerned about how others perceive them that the opinions of others has now become the scale to weigh their successes.
How many likes did the photo of my food get last night? How many people reacted to my selfie? Who tweeted about what I said or shared my video? If the numbers are high it’s as though you’re successful but if not you aren’t . Is that so?
Even if you are not on social media. Many do the same thing in their place of work. What did they say about my presentation? How many people saw me save that patient? Did they see the amount of files and cases I closed this quarter?
My friends, one of the greatest features of a successful person is wisdom. Success is not always found in how much people are backing us up. Sometimes all we need is one. It’s not necessarily the number of people in your social or professional network that makes you great; rather, sometimes being connected to the right one is all you need to be successful.
The {reverential} fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom. When you fear God, you are connected to divine success. He directs you, guides you and enables you to be successful.
In Joshua 1:8 the Lord told Joshua the following “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Wow, do you see how reading, studying and digesting the word of God is part of the formula of success?
It is time to engage your spirit in a search to know your creator. Light the candle of your heart (in order to see) and start sweeping through the word of God. “You shall seek for me and find me when you shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
