He dominated the soca scene in Vincy this year
With winter just around the corner, Montreal soca-music lovers want to know if there are anymore big named artists coming in this year.
Tell them… yes!
We will be graced with the presence of one more Soca artist before the end of the year.
You must have heard the saying: “savi ng the best for last?”
Esp ecially in a y ear when we enjoyed the presence of many soca and calypso stars, such as Yung Image (Grenada), Sparrow (Grenada/Trinidad), Lord Nelson (Trinidad), Bunji Garlin (Trinidad), Mr. Killa (Grenada), Alison Hinds (Barbados), Skinny Banton (Grenada).
So he r e comes Delroy “Fireman” Hoop er the talented star out of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The “Fireman,” as he is fondly known, is considered the “People’s champion.”
The perennial winner of the Vincentian Soca Monarch has the repertoire and the energy to make A Touch Of Red on November 8, at EB Resto Bar the ultimate show of 20 14.
He is making a return to Montreal after a three-year absence. Warning! He is coming back fierce.
I say Fireman Hooper would top all the artists that performed in Montreal this year because 2014 was history making for him.
You see while getting on “Unruly” in a “Rum Meeting” and attaining the coveted hat trick of titles for Vincy Mas 2014, including the Road March Ragga and Power Soca Monarch titles For the Road March he secured first and second places with his songs “Unruly” and “Rum Meeting.” So when he comes to Montreal for the “Touch Of Red” event, he is coming well decorated.
He says he’s very excited about coming back to this city where he has a great fan base and promises the ultimate performance to them.
Touch Of Red fete is timely, happening a few weeks after St. Vincent and the Grenadines celebrate their 35th year of Independence on October 27th.
Fireman Hooper joins in the call to Vincentians and all Soca lovers to be part of history on November 8. At EB Resto Bar.
