Bibleway Sunday School Picnic

Bibleway Pentecostal Church is inviting the public to their annual picnic, which goes to Yamaska National Park on Saturday, July 14th. Pick up will be at 8:00 am from the church premises. Free for children under 11 years, 12-18 $20 and for 18 and over $25.

St. Lawrence Anglican Boomers BBQ

It’s always fun times when the “Boomers” of St. Lawrence Anglican Church get together. And all Montrealers are invited to get in on the action on Saturday August 18, when they host an afternoon of BBQ with Music and Dominoes from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Church grounds, 520 – 75th Avenue, LaSalle. Montreal Church of God Deliverance 7th Day Events

Bazaar – July 8

The Montreal Church of God Deliverance 7th Day invites all to their bazaar on Sunday, 8th July, beginning at 11 a.m. At 4020 Grand Boulevard. The proceeds from this event will go to the NDG food bank and Old Brewery Mission.

Hot Dog Day – August. 5

Come and enjoy free hot dogs on Sunday 5th August at Place Charles-Este (corner Sherbrooke Street and Madison in NDG). Beginning at 12:30 PM.

CONCERT – August 11

The church will be hosting an outdoor concert on Saturday 11th August from 7 PM, at 4020 Grand Boulevard. Featuring performances by Allysa Walton and other local artistes. Admission is $20. Information: 514-366-0650.

Celestial Voices on August 4

Come share an evening with the Celestial Voices Of Barbados who are on their North American Tour 2018. Enjoy performances in Montreal, Toronto, Brampton, Boston, Connecticut and Brooklyn. On Saturday, August 4, they will be at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 3970 Chemin de la Cote-Sainte-Catherine, Montreal, under the direction of Andrew Hall and accompanied by Marilyn Smith. The new Amazing Grace Ministry

The congregation of Amazing Grace Ministry is inviting Montrealers of faith and others to worship with them at their newly-instated church ministry, located at 3975 De Courtrai.
Their Sunday service starts at 11 AM, and they will host Bible study sessions on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
Their Breakthrough Morning Prayers are on Saturdays at 9:00 AM.

Look out Jekalyn Carr

Author and Grammy-nominated contemporary gospel artist Jekalyn Carr will be live in Montreal at House of Mercy Ministry, 545 Rue Legendre, West on August 11.
Her repertoire includes the award-winning You’re Bigger, from her fourth album, The Life project.
Only 21-years-old, she has already shared the stage with many icons and legends in the industry, such as Tasha Cobbs, and has emerged as a star in her own right.
She won her first Stellar Award at age 16 with her sophomore album, It’s Gonna Happen.
Carr is also an author and recently penned a book titled, You Will Win: Inspirational Strategies to Help You Overcome.
On August 11, she will share the stage with a line-up of up-and-coming local Gospel stars.

Remembering the 12 who drowned in 1954
Sixty-four years after  the tragic loss of the 12 children  in a boating accident in an Ile Bizard beach.
Their  memory  remains as vibrant as ever.
The children, Alan Leek, Carol Leek, Densil Alleyne, Diane Springer, Edwin Springer, Estelle Walton, Marge Fonseca, Marilyn Fonseca, Brenda Kelly, Neon Lesley, Paula Millington and Doreen Walton were all part of a Negro Community Centre day camp taking a trip to the beach
They were offered a boat ride by a Montreal businessman and fell into the water after the 12-foot motorboat stalled and capsized.

On Friday July 13th there will be a commemorative gathering at the basement of the Union United Church to honor the children’s memory from 12pm to 2 pm. All are invited.

Swaylan Stoute concert and dance anniversary
Come celebrate the life of Swaylan Stoute in concert and dance as we mark one year since he left us.
The concert will be on July 7th at Trinity Pentecostal Church, 1050 Boul Shevchenko, LaSalle from 5:00 ppm featuring performances by Perpetual Praise Choir and guests. A dance  follows at Share The Warmth,  635 Fortune Street, Point St. Charles H3K 2R9 from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM with music from  DJ DRU.
