Fashion For A Cause: Ripping The Runway 2015 Contact Staff This year the community outdid itself in making Fashion For A Cause a signature event in Montreal. Over 500 Montrealers shared in the glitz and the glamour of the evening on Saturday, October 10, at the elegantly outfitted Town of Mont Royal Hall. Joseph Seraphim Fortes became The Guardian of English Bay

From Port of Spain, T&T, to Liverpool, England to Vancouver, Canada where By John Leblanc Joseph S. Fortes was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, on February 9, 1863. When Joe was 17, he left his country of birth for England. In the city of Liverpool where he resided for the next  five years, Joe learned to swim at the St. Georges baths. Community gathered to support Dominica

Contact Staff On the evening of Saturday, November 7, representatives of various community groups gathered at the Le Manoir in NDG with officers and members of the Dominica Island Cultural Association of Montreal in a fund raising event in support of relief effort for the Caribbean nation after it was devastated by Tropical storm Erika in August. Haiti Haitians Challenge Election Results Two presidential candidates who object to their showings in the Oct. 25 Haitian elections have filed legal challenges. Fourth-place finisher Dr. Maryse Narcisse of former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide’s Fanmi Lavalas party, and Vilaire Cluny Duroseau, who finished 42nd out of 54 candidates, are alleging they were cheated out of votes.
