This year, one of Montreal’s biggest outdoor parties, Trini Day In The Park, will be held at Parc Drapeau on Sunday, July 17, as the closing event of this year’s WeekEnds du Monde festival on the island.
And organizers promise that Montrealers will have a Trini-style good time for this year’s event with an extended line-up of performers to keep the stage show going until 10 PM that night.
As usual there will be a lot of jumping, especially with the return of the band Destiny and soca star Connector out of Toronto.
Several Montreal headliners will also be on stage, including Mr. Vik, Soca Kid and Ezra Lewis who will also be on stage.
There will also be an ample supply of soca music from DJ Professor.
The event will also be marked by a Trini-style tribute to Noel Alexander, outgoing president of the Jamaica Association of Montreal for his decades of community service.
Also, according to organizers, Trini Day offers Montrealers an opportunity to enjoy some of the tasty culinary delights coming out of the Caribbean and sample (tasting) some Angostura products that will be available at the event.
The promise is more music, more action and more fun at Trini Day in The Park 2016.
