Montrealers Awarded by Community Cares

On Saturday, May 26, Montreal Community Cares presented
awards to 14 individuals and organizations who are helping to make their
communities better every day. The event was held at St. Jax on Ste.Catherine Street & Bishop.
The 2018 MCC Awards was hosted by TVA Sports commentator Derek Aucoin and CJAD Newstalk radio host Natasha Hall. The event’s Honorary Co-Chairpersons were Brian Bronfman, president of the Brian Bronfman Family Foundation  and Peace Network for Social Harmony, and James Officer, former Head of St. Georges School and Director of Explorations Camp. Slim Williams and Atomic Glam (Meredith Marshall), Faye Cummings and Nyhelia Gage-Brown performed for the crowd.
The Awards show also serves as a fundraiser for Montreal Community Cares Foundation’s Red Rush Leadership program.  The Foundation engages with socially vulnerable youth, often through sports programs, to teach them the skills that will both help them in their personal lives and to create the next leaders of our communities.
