When Kirk Dewayne Franklin comes to the Bell Centre on November 4, he’ll be doing so as the all-time best selling gospel artist.
Not only is he seen as one of the most charismatic artists in contemporary music today, he is a highly respected author with one of his publications making the New York Times Best Selling List.
But it is in the realm of the prestigious Grammy Awards that he stands out in the Gospel music industry, having earned 10 of the coveted honors.
Tireless in his efforts to elevate the music, the married father of four found time to host two highly popular TV shows, The American Bible Challenge and Sunday Best, the highest rated gospel program in BET history, now in its sixth season. He has also worked with several major recording artists, producing and co-writing with stars such as R Kelly, Bon Jovi and Pharrell.
Franklin was born and raised in Texas, and lives in Fort Worth with his wife of 16 years and their children.
