Horizon Spring Brunch

Hairoun Dance
On Saturday May 2 from 10pm groove with Quebec’s best netballers at La Manoir 5319 NDG ave. (Corner Decarie) for their fundraising dance. Doors open at 10pm. Music ranging from reggae, soca, R&B to Hip Hop from New Concept Crew and Colour Squad.

 “I Am Special” Concert
On Sunday May 3, join Caribbean Voices and the Philip E. Layton School for their I Am Special fundraising concert. At 4pm, Stefin Noel, Martin Albino, Constantine Greenaway, Jenna Noel, West-Can Folk Performing Company, Caribbean Voices and many others will be at 4350 Saint Catherine Street West (Bus 90). All proceeds go to the Philip E. Layton School for the visually impaired.

St. Kitts & Nevis Gospel Concert
On Sunday May 17, from 5 to 8:30pm it will be Gospel music galore at Caribbean Paradise Restaurant 8080 Newman Blvd. hosted by St. Kitts & Nevis Cultural Association of Montreal.

Caribbean Night Extravaganza
On Saturday, May 23, Cote-des-Neiges Child Care Centre Inc. invites all Montrealers  to their annual “Caribbean Night Extravaganza” at Schofield Hall 90 Roosevelt Ave. As usual the evening will be a cultural and social gem with the best presentation food, music and dance.
Best Bite Catering will offer a culinary adventure and several of the city’s top performers will be pm hand to entertain.. Music provided by TnT Styles from 6pm to 2am with cocktails from 6 to 7pm.

An Evening of Classics

SVG’s 50th
St. Vincent & the Grenadines Association of Montreal inc. invite Montrealers to their banquet and ball celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the SVGAM on Saturday May 30 at the Schofield Hall 90 Roosevelt Ave. Banquet and Ball will be $75 while ball along $40(open bar.) West Island Blues Fest
This year the 12th anniversary of West Island Blues Fest will be at Parc Dollard-des-Ormeaux (Salaberry boulevard in DDO.)
It  takes place on Saturday, June 20.
Featured performances by Freddie James, Carolyn Fe, Clarksdale Moan and others. The event will run from 2:30 to 11pm and will be free.

BBQ, Bourbon & Blues Fest

Louis Fairbain and Paul Laflamme are giving Montrealers the opportunity to experience the best BBQ, Bourbon and Blues Festival like no other at Pac Drapeau on June 20 and 21.
The day features several favorite restaurants such as Rubs Smokehouse, Black strap BBQ, Bofinger, Diablos, Smoked Meat Pete and Anancy will bring a variety of smoked delights.  It promises to be a family affair.
