Celebrate Nelson Mandela Day at Union United
Union United Church is inviting Montrealers to join them in celebrating Nelson Mandela Day, on Sunday February 11 from 2 – 4 p.m. at a special service at 3007 Delisle Street, Montreal. A Reception will follow.
The Day was instituted by the National Assembly to mark Mandela’s released from jail on Feburary 11, 1990. His historic visit to Montreal later that year included a visit to the Union United Church, the oldest Black congregation in Quebec.
Fundraising for The Kenya Project
Montrealers are asked to extend a hand in support to privilege children of Kenya where a Multi-Purpose Facility is being built for their use.
Alfred and Roslyn Mckenzie Ochieng Ministry Directors of Bibleway Church are leading a fundraising initiative to help project.
The Fund Raising Dinner will Be held on Saturday, February 27, @ 5:30 P.M At Le Manoir, 5319 Notre-Dame-De Grace.
In addition to delicious meal, the evening will be filled with lots of live performances. Organizers are asking for a donation of $50.00
