A Night with the King

A Night with the King

Every year, House Of Prayer For All Nations stages what has become a signature event that serves as an opportunity for the congregation, friends and Montrealers to fellowship in the midst of entertainment and fine dining…
And as it has been for the past ten years, funds raised at this event go toward the upkeep of the landmark building that house the church.
This year, the 11th annual Banquet & Concert fundraiser is presented under the theme, A Night With The King, and takes place on Saturday, November 15, at Schofield Hall, 90 Roosevelt Ave. in Town of Mount Royal. As usual, it promises to be a delightful evening of song and good food.
Among the many treats that guest can look forward to is the appearance of Marlon Paul Anderson, who has graced the stage at events on many occasions over the years.
This Jamaican livewire performer brings an amazing capacity to move people with his music, which includes Gospel combinations with reggae, country and traditional music. When he takes the stage people dance and sing along, and it has made him a Montreal favorite.
The event will also feature Zina Edwards, an emerging musical force on the Gospel circuit who recently was on the Tasha Cobbs’ “Break Every Chain” tour.
Over the years, she also shared the stage with Gospel icons like Shirley Ceasar, Bobby Jones, Mary Mary and Bridget Blucher.
Dayhana Santos, an anointed woman of God and emerging star on the Gospel scene, will put in a special guest appearance at the event. She brings a brilliant and unique voice as she plans to take her vocal dreams to new heights.
Organizers are also promising a line-up of other local stars to perform that evening.
The other big highlight of this event is the culinary adventure it offers every year, when some of the best caterers in the community share their talent by offering a feast of exciting dishes to guests.
This Night with the King fundraiser offers an opportunity for Montrealers to get dressed up and invite a friend to an evening with the congregation of House Of Prayer For All Nations, as they raise much-needed funds to continue to restore their 120 year-old building, and to further their missionary work here in Montreal and abroad.
Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Regular admission is $50, $60 for an adult accompanied by a child (6-12yrs).
