This year, officers and congregation of Imani Family and Full Gospel Church are getting set to mark a milestone in their churches history in Montreal: their 15th anniversary.
It was on July 14, 2005, when the little church situated in the heart of the historic Black community in Little Burgundy opened its doors under the spiritual leadership of its founding pastor Rev Darryl G. Gray.
Over the past decade and a half, the congregation of Imani, as the church became known, showed resilience in faith and in their commitment to build in service of the community. They kept the doors open.
Entering their 15th anniversary, Imani Family and Full Gospel Church continues to transition. Rev. Gray has since left to continue his community and political work in the United States and his brother Rev Glenn D. Gray is now serving as senior pastor.
Also, since July 14, 2019, the congregation has been worshiping at Feron’s Sanctuary, 2630 Notre Dame Street, West, in Little Burgundy.
Imani celebrates its 15 years with an anniversary banquet at Il Gabiano in LaSalle (details will follow).
