Shawna Perry, driven by enthusiasm

Meet Shawna Perry, one of a new generation of real estate agents ready to take her place in the hardscrabble world of buying and selling properties in and around the Greater Montreal area.
Just about a month in the business, the recently certified broker is eager to put what she has learnt to the benefit of prospective homebuyers’ and sellers’ dedication.
What Shawna lacks in experience, she makes up in enthusiasm and a passion for what she is doing.
“I think this is what I was born to do,” she says. “I always love houses, decorating them and seeing families turn them into homes. I love selling and I love meeting people.
Also, I think I have the right personality for the job because I’m very outgoing, honest, and I keep it real all the time. So clients can always depend on me. ”
The former Vanier College student completed her real estate training at LaSalle College and joined Sutton-Clodem Group after attaining her license.
She knows it’s an uphill battle making inroads in the business, but is looking forward to the challenge.
“I know what it takes: I’m doing a lot of cold calling, I’m knocking on doors and I’m listening to advice from those who’ve been in the business a long time.
“My goal as (a) realtor is to exceed expectations and simplify the process.”
After less than a month on the phone and meeting people things are already looking up, with a few perspective clients on the horizon.
But it’s only the beginning, as Shawna relishes a future in the real estate business.
“I can’t wait to get real busy,” she says.
