Remembering Our Beautiful Marlene Yorke (Lewis)
Sunrise – February 1, 1936- Sunset – April 5, 2023
Marlene, a community favorite passed peacefully in her sleep on April 5.
The Trinidad and Tobago (Belmont,) born beauty was a strong supporter of all community and church events.
Blessed with a wonderful personality and known for her kindness as well as her sharp wit Marlene was a delight to be around.
With her engaging sense of humor, Marlene made friends easily and was always on point to keep everyone laughing out loud.
She was constantly being asked if she was ‘behaving’ herself to which she smiled and replied of course (usually NOT).
She was also fierce with her love for her two children, Tony and Melissa as well as her grandchildren Dion and Cassandra and was known to remember every family member’s birthday to call them at midnight to wish them well.
Marlene Yorke will be missed by all who were lucky enough to cross her path and receive her grace.
She was a lifelong supporter of this newspaper and provided words of encouragement and support at every opportunity.
Montreal Community CONTACT joins with her family in praying that Marlene Finds Rest In The Hands Of The
Lord In Eternal Bliss.
Remembering
Glenda Giraudy Legore
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glenda Giraudy Legore.
Glenda was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured by her daughter Stephanie Legore (Ryan Bradshaw) whom she gave birth to two years following her marriage in 1967 to Audley A. Legore. She embraced every moment with her.
Glenda especially loved her role as grandmother to Brianna Bradshaw and Olivia Bradshaw.
She is survived by her sisters Maureen Camacho and Yvel Calderon (Alban Calderon), sisters-in-law Vivene, Sonia, Cheryll and Maxine. She is survived by a multitude of loving family members, including her many nieces and nephews- too many to name, cousins, in-laws and last but not least all close and special friends in Montreal and abroad. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.

IVY WEEKES
Sunrise: April 25, 1949 -Sunset: April 6, 2018
It has been five years since you left us all too soon.
It broke our hearts to lose you that day God called you home…
We know that you are in a better place – so for that, we cannot complain; as such, in our hearts you will remain…
