Gordon Weekes, whose show “Anatomy Of Caribbean Music” on CJLO 1690 AM won two awards, is hosting a new show called “World Beat News every Tuesday from noon to 1pm and showcasing new World Beat music mainly from Canadian Artists.
Weekes says “World Beat News” is being dubbed a lunch hour alternative from talk radio, dull newscasts and overplayed FM playlist.
His “Anatomy of Caribbean Music” received Best New Show and The Best World Beat Show (The Lucky Dubie Award) last year at CJLO’s Diego Awards Banquet.
