Echoes of a Proud Nation

Echoes of a Proud Nation

This year we gather for the 32nd annual Echoes of a Proud Nation Pow-Wow! It is with great joy and pride that we come together to celebrate and honor the traditions, cultures, and spirit of our ancestors.
At this time of year, we are reminded of the strength and resilience that has been passed down through generations. This event, held on the second weekend of July, marks the anniversary of the 1990 crisis, where our people stood together and we protected our territories. The powwow is a time of coming together, of sharing stories and dances, of laughter and friendship. It is a time to renew old connections and forge new ones.
Through the rhythmic beat of the drum, we are all united as one community, one family. Each dancer’s step, each singer’s voice, carries with it the echoes of the past and the hopes for the future. Let us embrace this opportunity to learn from one another, to celebrate our diversity, and to honor the traditions that have sustained us for centuries.
We hope that each and every one of you can be a part of this special occasion. May this 32nd annual powwow be a time of love, peace, and harmony in celebration of our rich cultural heritage. Visit our website to buy tickets online!
If you cannot make it to our powwow event, be sure to come to another event hosted by Kahnawake Tourism throughout the year; Strawberry fest, Green Corn fest, Harvest fest and Maple fest! We also offer guided tours, walk-in and by reservation. Call 450-635-2929 or go to our website to book!
