Bus Trip

There will be a bus trip to Watertown, New York on Saturday October 17, 2015. The price of the trip is $45. The bus leaves Van Horne Shopping Centre at 7am sharp and drop offs will be at Fairview Shopping Centre (Lionel Groulx Metro Station) and Van Horne Shopping Centre.

The Jamaica Association would like to inform the community it serves that the food bank is back in operation at 4065 Jean Talon West.  Food will be distributed every Tuesday, staring at 11am.

The Jamaican Association will be holding its 53rd anniversary heroes banquet at its Montreal Reception Hall 4065 Jean-Talon West on Saturday. The Guest Speaker will be Denise Jones. Cocktails will be served from 6pm and dinner starts at 7:30pm. All is invited to sample our special Jamaican midnight buffet and sweet table. Donation is $80.

Caribbean Pioneer Women

The Caribbean Pioneer Women of Canada are having a fall trip to enjoy the beauty of the leaves on Saturday October 17 2015. The traveling party will depart 5257 Queen Mary Road (corner Trans Island) at 8:30 am and return at 7pm. The price of $65 includes lunch at the Restaurant ‘ Le Shack’, a tour of the Village and an optional visit to the Casino.

Journee Kweyol

The St. Lucia Cultural Association would be hosting “Journee Kweyol” at Le Manoir 5319 Notre-Dame-de-Grave Avenue on Saturday October 17. All is invited. Enjoy Creole style cooking and music from 4 to 8pm followed by a dance at 10pm. There would be a domino tournament between Montreal and Connecticut. Admission is free for the event but entry to the dance is $15 at door.

The Council for Black Aging Community

On Saturday October 17 at Le Nouvel Hotel 1740 boul. Rene Levesque West come out to the council of black aging community 6th conference on topics like nutrition, mobility and much more. Tickets are $50. Continental breakfast and lunch will be included. Registration is from 8-9am and the conference runs from 9:30am-4pm.
