Union Pride:  A Community Tradition, A Community’s Pride

The Union United Church congregation and visitors alike were all smiles on July 21 as 18 young students from the community were the merited recipients of the annual Rev. Charles H. Este Scholarship handout.

The 2015 recipients were selected from a group, which included eight Cegep and seven university scholarships, and three bursaries. Scholarships and bursaries were in the amounts of $500 and $1,000 respectively.
A vote of thanks underlying the immeasurable value of education, and testimony to life lessons, hard work and perseverance of students, was offered by Ebony Johnson-Clyke.
Following the service and scholarship handouts, a reception was held in honour of the recipients.
Union continues to be eternally grateful to all who have contributed over the past forty-two years to make this annual scholarship handout possible.
