A SOULFOOD PICNIC on JUNE 18
On June 18, 2016 from 12p.m. to 10p.m., get out and about in the sunshine with your entire family at HOWARD PARK IN PARK EXTENSION (Liège Street, corner Querbes).
SoulFood Picnic is an all-day outdoor music, food and vendor family event where you can bring your chairs, kids and the entire family to enjoy the best music, entertainment and Children’s Corner.
You can also skip the cooking and come out and enjoy an on-site Louisiana-style BBQ to Caribbean-style Jerk chicken and everything in between. You will see what the best retail vendors have to offer, while enjoying live performances from yesterday’s and today’s RnB, Hip Hop, Classic Soul to Gospel, Rap to Reggae, Calypso to Zouk. A well supervised Children’s Corner featuring bounces, popcorn, hot dogs, tropical ice cream and other delicacies will be available to enhance your child’s birthday celebrations and make it a memorable occasion.
Also, several radio and TV stations will be on hand to capture the non-stop excitement of the day and Hema Quebec will be there with another of its Blood Drive.
Part proceeds will go to Fonds1804, an organization which provides scholarships to encourage students to stay in school as they pursue their academic interests and (professional) programs in Quebec.
This picnic is a presentation of Hilarious Riders Club in association with Playmas Montreal Cultural Association, two well-established organisations in the city that have been staging fundraising events for over 25 years for various organizations and charities.
Since its creation in 1999, Hilarious Riders under the direction of Thierry Carries and other club members, all of whom are professionals and have been playing an important role in the Quebec’s entertainment industry. They have supported The Walk Against Women’s Cancer with the Jewish General Hospital, the Montreal Children’s Hospital, the Special Olympics, also school visits to inspire youth to make the right choices, Héma Québec Blood Drives, among other initiatives.
Hilarious Riders is now collaborating with Playmas Montreal Cultural Association in this special family event, SOULFOOD PICNIC. All of Montreal is invited to come out to this inaugural event.
