The sound of steelband music in concert has always been a memorable holiday experience.
Over the past several years, Martin Albino and his Golden Stars Steel Orchestra have been keeping the tradition alive in Montreal with their annual concert.
On Sunday, December 6, the event returns to Centre Henri Lemieux at 7644 Edouard in LaSalle and promises to be a musical treat with a lineup of beautiful voices, great pannists and other musicians.
Among the featured performers that evening will be a group of pre-teen steel pan players going under the name, The Crystals.
They will be amply complemented by some of the best singers in our community, including Faye Cummings, George Fennel, Jason Choa, Ezra Lewis and Stefin Noel. And all will be punctuated by performances by Golden Stars and Martin Albino who over the past several months have been perfecting their repertoire of seasonal music.
The Golden Stars Annual Christmas Concert runs between 6pm and 8pm.
Get to the venue by Bus #109 from Angrignon, #58 from Metro LaSalle or De’leglise. Driving – Schevchenko towards the river, left on Edouard. Donation is  $10.00.
