Gracia Kasoki Katahwa looks back at a fulfilling year

A year after what was an unlikely breakthrough in last fall’s municipal elections, it’s safe to say that Gracia Kasoki Katahwa has settled into her tasks as Mayor of Côte des Neiges-NDG and is doing what it takes to make a difference in the lives of people in Montreal’s most populous borough. A new crop of Black political leaders blazing a trail

Rosie Awori (LJI) The recently concluded municipal elections on November 7, have seen an influx of new Black candidates being elected across Montreal. A large number of these trail blazers have been women, each packed with a wealth of experience to bring change to the table.
