Carifiesta 2017 Band Launching

Contact Staff

The hundreds of sailors that took over St. Catherine Street for Carifiesta 2016, and provided some of the most memorable moments for the parade, will be back this summer in all their glory.
Band organizers FrienZ want all Montrealers to know that they’re back this year with Sailors Still Ashore… We Blu An We Jammin Still, and they’re promising the same excitement and fun with non-stop soca and chutney music fueling the parade.
With a grand variety of sailor costumes on hand, they’re hoping that a full contingent of mas-lovers in the city will join them for the 2017 parade and help color Montreal blue.
And they’re inviting people down to see costumes and be part of the excitement at the Band Launching on April 15 at Westhill Community Center (North of Monkland, free admission) and on the grand fundraising event at Caribbean Paradise Resto, 8080 Newman, LaSalle, on Friday, June 3, $10 at the door. Both events will feature Caribbean food on sale and non-stop music and dancing. Info. 514-234-8549 or 514-708-5714.
