Mtl C’bean Fashion Week will benefit  Sickle Cell Assoc.

On the weekend of May 7-9, Montreal will be immersed in the fashion and styles of the Caribbean when over 20 designers from across North America and the Caribbean showcase their latest collections at the Montreal Caribbean Fashion Week.
Featured designers include Malou Cadet from Haiti, Jessamy of Grenada, Robert Young of Trinidad and Tobago, Mildred Milly Lawrence of Toronto and Mirmonde from Montreal.
Among the many attractions for this three-day extravaganza will be the return of the Montreal Ebony Models who are reuniting to celebrate their 36th anniversary.
They will be joined by three of Barbados’ top models and Rehanna Warren, and the Grenada 2014 Model winner seen around the world as the face of the island.
They will be strutting the catwalk along with special guest model and host Ms. Yendi Phillips, who was Miss World Jamaica 2007 and the first runner-up in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant.
The Montreal Caribbean Fashion Week includes a Grand Gala Red Carpet Opening on Thursday, May 7. Fashion Fun Friday on May 8 and Saturday, May 9, Fashion Night Out. Part of the festivities will include the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to Mrs. Johanne Sternthal, Fashion Guru, Author and Philanthropist. There will also be an After Party, featuring Juno Nominee, Freddie James.
Event organizer Gemma Raeburn-Baynes, says proceeds from the Montreal Caribbean Fashion Week will go towards helping to raise Scholarship funds for the Sickle Cell Anemia Association of Quebec.
