On Sunday, May 27, over 400 people walked together in Montreal’s Saint-Henri neighborhood to show their solidarity with people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
The family of the late Maude Fowles-Steele participated in the annual walk for Alzheimer’s under the name Happy Choice. They managed to raise $1,700, which will allow regional Alzheimer Societies to continue to offer quality services to those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Maude Fowles-Steele, a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend would have celebrated her 95th birthday on July 16 , if not for the dreadful disease that took her away from her family. The Happy Choice team page is open and accepting donations for next year’s walk.
