On Saturday, October 3, soca-chutney lovers in Montreal will feel the full force of the music when the queen, Drupatee, leads a line-up of the hottest acts out of T&T to the stage here in Montreal.
Since she stamped her mark on the soca scene in 1988 with her mega hit Mr. Bessessar, there has been no stopping Drupatee.
Over the years she has been a consistent presence on both the soca and soca chutney scene.
Hits such as Pepper, Hotter Than a Chulha, Careless Driver, Motilal, the monster offering “Wuk Up D Ladki” with Machel Montano have placed her among royalty on the circuit.
Drupatee will be here with Hunter (Jep Sting and Mr. Puncheon) at Le Manoir. They will be joined by the legendary Terry Gajraj (Guyana Baboo).
Music by Mr. Vik and Dj Selekta Shellz. There will be a meet and greet on Friday, October 2, from 9 p.m. at Caribbean Curry House.
