Since bursting on the music scene few years ago, 21-years-old Alïah has been on an upward trajectory highlighted by two major achievements this year: her performance at the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame 2019 showcase and her selection as part of the TD Creative Incubator Program 2019, coordinated by SOCAN.
The Montreal-born singer/songwriter, who as a teenager taught herself to play the guitar also had an opportunity recently to record with Peter Cadernali who produced music for Celine Dion, Rick James and Tina Marie.
But her most significant achievement so far came in May 2018, when she released her debut album, ‘Sounds of a Seed.’
The independently produced album that was a showcase of Alïah’s creativity and musical talent was recently added to the CBC Radio’s music catalog across Canada.
On Saturday, March 23, Alïah will share some of her music with fans here in Montreal at her Taste of Caribbean show at the Caribbean Paradise Lounge, 8080 Newman Blvd. in LaSalle.
The event will feature a guest appearance by a steelpan soloist and a Caribbean dinner and starts at 7: 00 pm sharp.
And at 9:00 PM Alïah hits the stage for what is expected to another of her captivating performances.
Tickets available online or at the door.
