X-Men United Soccer Academy is on a recruitment drive. The community-based club that travels regularly across North America and the Caribbean is looking for a few good men to join their ranks and share in their fun experience and they are hoping to find them among players participating in the soon to be launched Summer 7 vs. 7 Soccer League.
The outdoor league will be made up of  five teams from around the Montreal area including EarthLove, X-Men, Lucia, All Caribbean and Noel Nord and games will be played for the remainder of the Gilbert-Layton Park  at the corner of Coronation and Chester streets in NDG.
It opens with two games on Saturday July 23 at 5 PM with All Caribbean against Earth Love then X-Men against Lucia.
League organizers say that teams will be made up of youth and adult (40 years and over) players from all nationalities.
The aim they say is to “facilitate the growth and development of recreation soccer in the community.” Also to promote teamwork and sportsmanship and encourage players to adhere to the slogan: “Talk With Your Feet – Play With Your Heart
