This year’s Spice Island Cultural Festival is back at Vinet Park in Little Burgundy on July 9.
Organizers say the two-year hiatus gave them an opportunity to reboot and revive the event. As such, they say the festival looks promising
As Montreal reopen to festivals and other outdoor events following the pandemic, the Spice Island Cultural Day Association of Montreal (SICDAQ), celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, is eager to bring live music back to Vinet Park after two years of holding the Festival virtually.
Organizers are inviting Montrealers to “come experience the rich culture of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.” The theme of this year’s celebration is “Grenada-licious! Celebrating a Culinary Capital,” which coincides with Grenada’s designation as the 2021 Culinary Capital of the World, awarded by the World Food Travel Association (WFTA).
The weekend festival will run from July 8 – 10 and each day will bring spectators a big surprise.
Organizers says they will soon be releasing a schedule of events and activities that will include a stellar line-up of chefs, culinary adventures, music and other live entertainment as well as a massive set-up for the young ones including a Children Fun Park.
The Spice Island Cultural Day Association of Quebec (SICDAQ) also takes this opportunity to invite you to their Spring Fling Grenadian Brunch to be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 6767 Cote Des Neiges Road, Montreal. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 5-12. Food and Entertainment galore! Info: (514) 620-6612.
